Natural Ethiopia, as we know and love it! 🌼

The newest coffee on our shelf is from Sidamo region in Ethiopia. The farmer, Faysel Abdosh, established Ayla washing station in 2018 and named it after his niece. His company Testi Speciality Coffee has several washing stations around Guji with Ayla being the first one in Sidamo.

The washing station buys cherries from around 800 farmers who cultivate their coffee at the high altitudes of 1,950 to 2,000 MASL on small lands.

In addition to buying coffee cherries, Testi Speciality Coffee also contributes to the community wellbeing. In Sidamo, they have helped build schools for local children, supported a water project to make clean water accessible and helped connect homes to the electricity grid.

From carefully cultivated coffee to meaningful community projects, Ayla is a reminder that great coffee can have an impact far beyond the cup.

Come taste this beautiful coffee in which you’ll enjoy notes of florals, strawberries and chocolate. 🍓🍫

We’re bringing two new PREMIUM coffees to the shelf — get ready for a fruity Kenya Kamwangi and a sweet Ethiopia Hadeso! 🍍🍭

First up: our new Kenya from the renowned Kirinyaga region, produced at Kamwangi Factory (as washing stations are called in Kenya 🚰).

The factory works with around 2,500 smallholder farmers who deliver freshly picked cherries that are carefully sorted, pulped, fermented and washed using fresh water from the Nyamindi River. Finally, the parchment is dried on raised beds with frequent turning to ensure even drying and prevent defects.

We love this coffee for its vibrant, juicy fruitiness that reminds us of summer. Expect sweet and refreshing notes of pineapple, grapefruit and honey. 🍍🍊🍯

Let’s not forget about our new Ethiopia Hadeso, a washed lot from Guji Hadeso Washing Station reflects the unique local varieties and microclimates of Guji, Ethiopia.

It is produced by 500 smallholder farmers, who grow coffee traditionally alongside food crops, with minimal inputs and mostly manual farming. Cherries are selectively handpicked, carefully sorted, fermented for 36-48 hours, then washed and dried on raised beds for 5-7 days.

Come by, taste it and look for notes of brown sugar, jasmine and vanilla. 🥧

And yes, we had a lot of fun taking these photos! 😅📸

Meet Marco, the newest friendly face you’ll meet

Meet Marco, the newest friendly face you’ll meet behind our bars! 🇮🇹

Coffee in one hand, cocktail in the other! 🍸 Our Italian guy has spent years behind the bar, mixing drinks and perfecting his hospitality skills. After living in Spain for 4 years, he made his way to Copenhagen, where he’s now been for the past year.

When it comes to coffee, Marco keeps it classic: his favourite way of brewing is moka pot. ☕️ Outside of work, you’ll probably find him taking care of his growing collection of indoor plants or getting competitive over a board game with some friends.

On a shift, you’ll find him sipping cortado with oat milk and if you’re wondering what’s in his glass after hours, it’s most likely a Milano-Torino (or simply, a Mi-To). 🍊🥃

Oh, and ladies… he’s single 😉

Happy to have you as a part of the team Marco! 💛
