🎉 That’s a wrap on 2025! 🎉

This year has been a wild adventure at ROAST! So much has changed, and we’ve reached countless milestones — let’s take a look back:

We kicked off the year at the Nordic Coffee Festival, where our roasters represented us in a roasting competition, and at the Danish Coffee Festival, where our baristas competed in Cup Tasting. 🥄

One of our biggest milestones was opening our fourth — and so far, largest — shop in Sydhavn at the end of April, which also became the new home for our offices and entire roastery.

A long-time dream came true when we opened our Academy in Sydhavn, giving us the space to host all kinds of courses — from cupping and basic barista skills to our recently introduced latte art. 🥛

During the year, we also fully transitioned our roasting from our trusty gas-fueled Giesen to two electric ROEST machines. 🫘

Another major highlight was celebrating our 10 year anniversary in June — a day filled with good vibes, amazing cocktails, and of course, great coffee! 🥂

After a decade, we decided it was time for a fresh look for our coffee bags. We launched sleek new black bags with colorful labels, and we couldn’t be happier with the upgrade. 🧡💚💜💛

We also welcomed a bunch of new subscribers to our coffee subscription, not just from Denmark, but from all around the world (hello to South Korea, Portugal, the USA, Switzerland, and many more 👋).

Back at Vestmannagade, we gave our old roastery a little glow-up, added some tables, and turned it into a cozy spot where you can enjoy your coffee and soak in the Islands Brygge vibes.

And of course, we’ve had LOTS of beautiful coffees this year, and we can’t wait for even more in the year ahead! 🌸

So here’s one BIG THANK YOU to our customers, subscribers, B2B partners, our beloved baristas, friends, neighbors, and every ROAST supporter out there. You guys rock! 🚀

We’ve got an early Christmas present for you — meet DUO45! After a couple of months, it was time to refresh the blend, swapping one Ethiopian coffee for another (don’t worry, the Brazilian coffee is staying just as it is). 🇪🇹

If you enjoyed DUO44, don’t hesitate to give this one a try — we’re confident you’ll love it just as much. The strawberry notes from Ethiopia Bette Buna make way for gentle orange tones from the new Ethiopia Ayla, while the familiar chocolate and hazelnut flavours from Brazil remain beautifully present. 🍊🌰

✨ New 2026 coffee course dates! ✨ Is leveling

We were happy to welcome some new faces to ROAST -

We were happy to welcome some new faces to ROAST - from left to right we would like to introduce Alessia, Viktorie and Simon! 🤸

First of all, meet Alessia 🇮🇹 — originally from Italy but has lived in the UK for the past five years (you’ll definitely catch that blend in her accent!) before moving to Copenhagen. She’s a former high school teacher with the patience of a saint and a volleyball player who even captained her team back in Leeds. 🧑‍🏫🏐 Teaching and travelling has led her to another passion, languages — she speaks English, Italian (ovviamente 🤌), French, Spanish, German, and now slowly taking on Danish as well! And when she’s not working, you’d probably find her on the volleyball court or in the kitchen, whether it’s baking something sweet or cooking. ✨

Next up, Viktorie 🇨🇿 — our third Czech teammate! She came to Denmark to study for her Master’s at Copenhagen Business School. 💡 Coffee in her eyes is a hobby turned into something bigger — for one of her school projects recently, she even turned our coffee chaff into sustainable plant pots, how cool is that? 🌱
Before joining us, Viktorie worked at one of the biggest roasteries in the Czech Republic, so she knows her stuff inside out and loves to help you find the perfect bean for you. When she’s off the clock (and not in school), you’ll probably find her dancing salsa or cooking. 💃🥣

Meet Simon 🇩🇪 — the youngest member of our team at just 19 (can you believe it?!). Coming all the way from Dresden, he brings the perfect mix of energy, curiosity, and goofiness (trust us, no shift with him is ever boring 😄). Before joining us, Simon did a roasting internship at Kaffanero and Phoenix Roastery back home. Outside of work, you’ll probably catch him practicing guitar or just exploring his new city. 🎸☕️
Oh, and by the way — he’s currently looking for a long-term room to rent! If you know of something, let us know and we’ll connect you. 🏡💬

Welcoming new coffees on the shelf — new natural Ethiopia and washed Kenya 🇪🇹🇰🇪

Our new Etiopian coffee from Ayele Fulasa, for whom coffee is a family legacy rooted in generations of knowledge. From his farm in Yirgacheffe—2,005 meters above sea level—Ayele cultivates coffee using agroforestry and organic practices through the Lalisaa Project with Sucafina. Every cherry is handpicked and sun-dried on raised beds, reflecting his dedication to quality.

His passion and the Lalisaa project’s support help empower smallholder farmers and bring exceptional Ethiopian coffee to ROAST, as well as to your cups, where you’ll taste raspberries, raisins and chocolate. 🍇🍫

And our new Kenya — grown on the red volcanic slopes of the Aberdare mountains, this coffee thrives in warm days and cool nights—perfect for slow cherry development and vibrant flavor. 🌋 Cultivated by smallholder farmers in Murang’a county, the result is a fruity Kenyan coffee with complex acidity.

Carefully handpicked and washed each peaberry showcases the region’s excellence and cup full of notes of pineapple, peach and pear. 🍍🍐
